Vajrasattva is the Buddhist deity of empowerment and grounding, painted in the deliberate and laborious technique of Thangka - this is a female manifestation of Vajrasattva. She who retains the virtue of purity in five forms sits in a padmasana over a moon disc, set in a blooming lotus. Holding a Dorje (specter) and Dril-bu (bell), she wears a crown studded with five jewels, and her serene face is adorned with a Bindi/Urna. At her feet, are placed a Dharmachakra, burning incense, and a lamp, and the dragons on either side of her head represent the luck she brings along.
